  • There are plans to raise the fees when purchasing homes during the spring of 2014. A borrower with a 30 year fixed rate mortgage and a credit score of 735 with a 10% down payment will see their fees rise from approximately 0,75 to 2% of the loan amount.

Buyers with higher down payments will likely see an increase as well. Mortgage analysts predict the higher fees combined with rising interest rates could tighten mortgage credit in the new year, so don't wait.

We took our children to visit the Rosenblatt Park for the first time and it was great. With Rosenblatt Stadium being such a part of Omaha's history, I think many of us were a bit sad to see it go. But if you are on the way to the Henry Doorley Zoo, it is great to stop by and see this little park. There are seats from the stadium and the kids can run around the mini bases. The kids had a ball.
