She is not only incredibly knowledgeable about the different areas we looked at, but a respectful listener who really tailored our home search so we didn’t waste any time. I would also like to add that she was an excellent negotiator & got us our #1 pick for the best possible price. I would definitely recommend her to anyone looking around Des Moines & we hope to work with her again real soon.

Heather Starr is the best realtor I have ever worked with! She is helpful, honest, and kind. We had never sold a home before and Heather walked us through the process so that we were informed about what to do/expect every step of the way. The professional home photos were a huge bonus as I know that not all realtors provide this service. I recommend Heather Starr to anyone looking to buy or sell a home. If we hadn't moved out of state, I would have asked her to be our realtor in buying our next home :)

Our house was on the market for 6 months in 2017 with another agent. Despite several offers and 2 signed contracts, she was unable to get us through closing. We hired Heather in 2018 based on the recommendation of a neighbor who had used her and I knew immediately we had the right professional helping us. She marketed our home properly and was a good negotiator who always put our interests first. We received several offers and had a signed contract within 30 days that closed recently. I have had numerous experiences with Heather Starr, representing us both as a buyer and a seller. After having bought and sold four homes by owner before working with Heather, I now realize what a mistake that was. It’s imperative to be represented by a Realtor like Heather to protect your interests and investments. On every occasion, Heather saved our proverbial tails by addressing subtleties on the offers that would have been costly if not handled up front. Bottom line: Heather will go straight into battle for you, but it’s with a velvet hammer, as she has decorum in spades. Heather is the whole package – she is professional, ethical, respectful, well-spoken and written, detail-oriented, dedicated, hard-working, loyal and patient. We’ve looked at dozens of properties over the past five years, and she was as cheerful on the first as she was on the 36th! Both as casual investors and for our own residence, I can’t think of a single time that Heather has steered us in the wrong direction. She has an innate personal mission to ensure her customers are happy with the real estate experience… but even more importantly, the property for the long term.I can’t believe I haven’t taken the time to write a review before now, but it never occurred to me… she didn’t ask – that’s not her style. Heather is great to work with! She explained everything along the way and made sure I understood each part of the process. She is very fast to respond to emails, calls and texts and it was a great experience!

This was our first time selling a home, and Heather guided us through every step, from the expected to the unexpected. She gave us good suggestions for how to stage our house, the photos were phenomenal, and she had good relationships with contractors in the area, which made it easier for us to get our house ready to show. When our septic inspection indicated necessary repairs and we were out of town, Heather reached out to engineers and started generating quotes so that we could keep the pending sale moving along. Overall, we were completely impressed with Heather's professionalism. She always returned phone calls and emails quickly, never made us feel like our many questions were bothersome, and helped us stay upbeat and optimistic through the whole process.

Heather was awesome! I just finished up with purchasing my first house and she helped me out through every step! I had, what felt like, a long search and Heather kept in touch through texting and phone calls whenever I needed her. If any of my friends are looking to buy a house, I will definitely tell them to seek out Heather Starr!
