Matt was very professional and was able to show me homes that hit the market before it was shown as for sale on Zillow. This helped me to buy a home with more features than I expected and for under budget. I probably took longer to find a home than most of his clients but he was patient and kept me informed of new listings. He isn't afraid to tell you the way it is on a home. If it's not worth pursuing, he will tell you. He also was a great resource for knowing the best local repair companies and contractors. Highly recommended.

Did the minimum he had to. Didn't have much interaction after offer was accepted. Passed off the closing and didn't even send or say "thank you" after he sold her house. Poor customer skills. Pick someone else. There are plenty of others who will APPRECIATE your business!!

Matt has been very helpful with finding a home in Cedar Rapids during our move to IA from TX. He worked really hard to find a house which met every item on our wish list within our budget. He is knowledgable, kind and most importantly very professional. And been an agent for many years. Knows the area very well. Couldn't ask more.

Matt has a great knowledge of the market. He gave us space to make our own decision but was willing to share his opinion when asked. He gave us good advice in negotiation. We ended up with a good house at a good price.

I can't in good conscience recommend Matt Smith. He is a nice person and very responsive but did not do much that was visible to me to try to sell my house. He was not very communicative unless I initiated it. There are other better realtors in the market. I changed realtors and received an offer within a couple weeks.

I listed my home with Matt after my wife and I had two very disappointing experiences with relators selling the condo she owned, and attempting to sell mine that ended in extensive damage to my condo. I was very impressed with the way Matt handled the listing. He was very responsive to questions. I was skeptical at first since Matt (and possibly ReMax) don't depend a lot on open houses for sales but Matt found a buyer with about two weeks when my prior listed had lasted over three months without even an offer. He stayed on top of the negotiations, kept me informed and in the loop even though I have moved several hundred miles from Cedar Rapids. Matt makes extensive use of technology which made the process of listing and closing easy to do when it would have been difficult for me to be present physically, and traditional mail/deliver service would have been inconvenient.

I also want to give a shout-out to Cheryl at At Your Service Escrow who handled most of the closing details and documentation. She was also very adept at communicating through phone and email, making sure I knew where we were in the process and what actions I needed to take. Of course there is always something that takes right up to the deadline to complete but the closing went off very smoothly with a minimum of stress.

Matt patiently worked with me to find the perfect place for me to be excited about for a price I was willing to pay and even went the extra mile to make the closing process smooth for me.

Matt was quick to respond and was great in accommodating our schedules for showings. As first time home buyers, we appreciated his honesty and knowledge of the market.
