    This weekend is Gilbertville Days, starting Friday night, July 14th with a car show, prince and princess contest, beer tent and food vendors, and a band that plays from 8:00-12:00 p.m.
    Saturday, the 15th will start with a 5K Run/Walk at 8:00 a.m. followed by a parade at 10:00 a.m.
    Also, throughout the day there will be kids games and a bean bag toss and one for adults as well.
    Kids peddle pull and a band that starts at 8:30 a.m. till 12:30 p.m. and great fireworks at 10:00 p.m. Come join in on the fun and have a great weekend in Gilbertville!!

    This weekend, Saturday, November 5th the American Legion Hall on 6th Street in Gilbertvillle
    is hosting a Craft Sale from 9:00 a.m to 3:00 p.m.

    Also, from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. there will be a Steak Fry as well as a live auction and raffle to follow. Everyone is welcome!!! You can choose from Ribeye, Sirlion, T-bone or just have th salad bar. All proceeds will be donated to the Honor Flight!

    Small Town of Gilbertville
    Gilbertville offers small town living at it's best, with good-friendly, kind people! It is only a 10 minute drive to Waterloo and there are many community amenities.

    Highlights are the Immaculate Conception School and Don Bosco High School,
    which makes for a great Catholic school system. Beautiful Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, and an outstanding Veteran's Memorial.

    There is a Farmer's State Bank for your banking needs, Casey's convenience store, a Weber's Carpet and Furniture Store and three bars in this town with some wonderful dining too!
    There is Double Take Salon and Spa, as well as Chiropractic Sports and Wellness Center.

    Gilbertville is known for it's great Locker for many people all around. Nice parks and the Gilbertville Mill and Bike trail are near by. The river has many kayaking, canoeing, tubing and fishing throughout the seasons.
