  • Lincoln Public Schools and other community groups formed a partnership to open Educare Lincoln, and this is the third Educare School in Nebraska. Educare is a place for newborns to five year old youth to work on key developmental skills as they prepare for school.
  • Our kids love going to Cavett Elementary in Southwest Lincoln. It has a truly innovative and open architectural classroom design and the teachers stand out above other elementary schools where our children have attended. It is ideally situated in the middle of Pine Lake Heights for easy walking to and from school and the Tierra-Williamsburg Trail runs under Pine Lake Road from the Williamsburg subdivision to allow for enjoyable morning and afternoon walks to drop off or pick up your little ones. It is a treat when your kids are excited to go to school!
  • If you are moving to Lincoln from outside the area, you will be very pleased with the Lincoln Public School system. Having lived all over the US in my previous military life, we experienced many school systems--good and bad. LPS by far has been the most welcoming with a phenomenal level of teacher engagement. Our kids enjoy going to school and it's no wonder that the schools in Lincoln are rated so highly.

    My son attends Sheridan Elementary. I cannot say enough about the facilities and the faculty at Sheridan Elementary. Along with the support system of the parents and community, it is no wonder that Sheridan ranks among the highest in local schools. I know our family is proud to be SHERIDAN SHARKS!
