  • Before it was called Florence, it was the winter quarters, a stopping place for pioneers moving west to Utah. Florence has an annual festival with the back drop continuing to be the park which was the town's original town square. You can still see many fine old buildings representing Florence of yesterday; beautiful homes and store fronts thriving with new businesses. Of course, there is the well-established Kelly's Bowl and the St. Phllip Neri's Church and School.
  • Minne Lusa Blvd and neighborhood is just a bit south of the Florence business area. It is a thriving neighborhood along a beautiful boulevard established in the youthful beginnings of Omaha and Florence. The families are proud of their Minne Lusa Grade School and many times you will meet families who moved back to where they were raised. There are many brick homes large and small along the boulevard, as well as many beautiful bungalow homes, all with beautiful oak woodwork and many upgrades. All of this is within walking distance of many services, and Miller park with a great water feature for kids.
